upon installing FreeBSD i need assistance with the XF86Setup segment...how do i found out what video card is on my system, how do i determine the horizontal and vertical sweep rates, how do i select the appropriate video mode ( whether its 640x480 or 800x600, etc) and how do i determine the default color depth ( 8bpp or 16bpp or 24bpp or 32bpp)..i understand these features are vital in installing FreeBSD correctly.....Please advise...Thanks with a SMILE!

You have to find out all that info before you get started.Do you have a factory-built computer?Get the model # and check the specs at the manufacturer's web site.
If its a dual-boot system, use windows to figure out your hardware.
