alright, so im about fed up with this. i can't run msn messenger on my computer for some reason, nor can i log into xfire to play Call of Duty. if any of you know how to fix this problem, you will be considered GOD.

so every time i run xfire/msn, i get this message:
    C:\Program Files\XFire\Xfire.exe
A Device attached to the sytem is not functioning.

    followed by:
    ERROR STARTING PROGRAM
The MSIMG32.DLL file is linked to missing export GDI32.DLL:GdiGradientFill

when i start msn, it tells me that the library file MSIMG32.DLL is missing or corrupt. any help would be MUCH appreciated.

    Hiya and welcome

First off, lets see if the file MSIMG32.DLL is on your pc:

Go to Start | Find Files and Folders. Type in

    MSIMG32.DLL

And search the entire harddrive. Is it found? If not, go here, downlaod and place it into your c:\Windows\system32 folder:

    http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msimg32

If it does exist, rightclick on the file and choose Properties, Version tab. Whats the version number?

Now, this may/may not work, so do this. The file that exists in the system32 folder, move it to another folder, say My Documents. Then, downlaod the above file, and place it into your system32 folder. If it doesn't work, we can always put the original back.

Also, which version of Windows are you running?

    Regards

    eddie
