Hey guys I just bought a XFX Radeon HD 5770 1gb graphics card and a new power supply to power it and when I start my computer I hear my graphics card running but my Monitor does not change from black.

    I need help ASAP.
    Thanks

    Welcome to TSG :)

Firstly, need more info. What is th erating of the PSU, and the current (amps) on the 12V rail? this should be on a sticker on the side of the PSU.
Sounds like it may be low for the card. Also, did you plug in the power connectors to the graphics card? A friend has the same card, and could not find the port easily. If you look on the higher of the 2 rear exhaust ports, you will find the power connector.

    Best of luck :)

Thank you for responding, my power supply is a Diablotek 550 watt. I also took pictures of the box, because it has a chart of the current and I know for a fact that the gpu was plugged in.

Check your BIOS settings. It may have the graphics being solely output on PCI as opposed to PCI-E.
If this still doesn't work, check the cables both internally and externally
