xp and cd help

    hi well i just installed xp in my pc and when i put a cd in eat reads it with no problem but when i try to write with it using the "send to d drive" option it says no media in the drive and wont write to it, what gives?? thanks

    Hi!
    You are talking about a re-writable CD, aren't you? Try not having a CD in the drive at all. XP then adds the file you want to send to the CD in a list, in preparation for adding it to a CD, should you put one in the drive. An icon is added to the System Tray with a message that a file has been added. Clicking on it open a folder, with the file in it. You can then delete the file if you want to as well.

    At least the you'd know if the error is in the OS or the drive. An icon is added to the System Tray
