XP and Page File

    It has been suggested to me that with over 512 meg of memory,the paging file in XP might improve performance if it is disabled. (or set at minimum)
    I am running 1ghz of PC2100 DDR (crucial)
    Any feedback?

    It does make sense. If you have a very large amount of memory, I never did figure out why you needed virtual memory, unless you were doing video editing or something like that.

    yes..........it does give you a bit of a boost......also saves wear on your hdd with not having to grind away disk swapping all the time.
