XP and Printer driver question

I want to print from my laptop networked to my desktop that is hooked to my printer. The laptop PC is running WinXP, the desktop PC is running Win98SE, and the printer is a Xerox M950 Workcenter. The problem is..the printer doesn't have XP drivers available, YET <crossed fingers>. I want to print to it from my laptop...is this possible? I saw something on TechTV's Screensavers in regard to an older game that wasn't supported by XP, but would run some sort of check and then run it appropriately on a Win98 framework...or something...and then the game was playable. Is this sort of thing possible or even the same as printing to my printer that does not have XP driver support? Or is the game and the printer like comparing apples and oranges? Someone please advise.

uh games and printers are different. games and legacy apps you can run in compatiblity layers, but printer drivers are printer drivers. just bug your printer manufacturer until they make them available. (sounds like fun, fun, fun!) hope i helped.
