Whenever I restart my system, not every program in the Start Group loads. I have to log off and then log back on, and then most of the applications load. McAfee VirusScan, however, list as "disabled", and I have to reun servicesmsc to disable and then enable. WordPerfect DAD can only load manually even though it's in the start group. I don't think a System Restore will work because this has been going on for many months, and virtually immediately afer the system was built.

Any thoughts???

Something disabling your anti-virus app at start-up is always a suspicious event. In order for the folks here to diagnose your problem, it would be helpful if you posted your system specs... micro, OS version, RAM, etc. And also, a very helpful tool would be for you to post a "Hijack This" log. You can download the Hijack This application HERE. Merijn.org also offers a helpful tutorial about the Hijack This application. View it HERE. Post your log right here in this thread.

Well, Anthony... that surely is all the info I requested. :)

I don't see anything particularly nasty on your log, other than the fact that you have a lot of apps running. You seem to have sufficient RAM to handle it, though. However, I believe (could be wrong about this) that your McAfee and Norton apps may be conflicting with one another.

Stay tuned here for some more knowledgeable TSG folks to give an opinion. We'll help you if we can. Please be patient. :)

Aboskovich, I'm having the same problem. I just wanted to post so that I was subscribed to the thread. I agree with vtel57 about both of the a/v programs possibly causing a conflict. however, that's a secondary problem. I'm still waiting for some advise on the start up programs not working! hopefully someone out there will help.
