    Im having trouble burning dvds
I have windows xp, my computer is a Compaq Presario,

im trying to burn films to Dvd in the AVI format,
ive tried through windows media player and just got errors..
Now ive downloaded Nero and even when the burns complete the disks dont work in Xbox 360 or in dvd players (ive tried 2)
the disks are Maxwell ProX Dvd+R.

Can anybody help me sort this out please?

The AVI files first have to be run through a DVD authoring program to convert them into DVD file format. If the Nero product you have includes Nero Vision you can use that program to create the DVD files. If not try DVD Flick.

Once the files are created make sure they work by viewing them with a media player. If WMP won't play DVD's get VLC media player.

Then when you know the DVD files work OK use Nero to burn them to a DVD.
