I have an older dell dimension with 780 megahert processor with 30gig hard drive and 256 mb ram do you think I will have problems with XP PRO.

Microsoft say that you need

Minimum CPU speed: 233 (MHz), Recommended 300 MHz.

Minimum RAM: 64 MB, Recommended 128 MB.

Maximum RAM: 4 GB.

Disk Space: 1.5 GB.

i am running

CPU speed: 800 (MHz)
Minimum RAM: 640 MB
Disk Space: 20 GB.

Mine is running okay

sure, it should do ok but do consider adding ram in the future.

Definately add some RAM soon. XP runs okay with 256MB, but some applications may require additional resources that you don't currently have. This will cause your computer to lock up a lot.
