xp disk defragmenter help!!

    Hi could anyone please help me with this problem?? Ive tried to use disk defragmenter to free up some space and make my pc a bit quicker but i keep getting a message'some files could not be defragmented' could anyone please help me with this problem??

    I doubt disk frag will free any space up but it might increase performance a bit. It is normal for some files not to be defragged. This could include files in use by Windows or some other program is using them. Try DEFRAG in the SAFE mode.
