xp download with recovery disk questions

    can i download windows xp from the recovery disk i need to know asap

    What brand name is this computer and do you really mean to re-install XP, and not download XP right ? The OEM major brand type computers have only a recovery disk which will completely install everything back as it was when new. But if you have a real Microsoft XP CD then you have more options such as a repair.

    This should probably be moved to its own thread....

    But no the recovery disk will not automatically remove files from your PC.

    Unless your old harddrive crashed or something I would just keep it and add your new one in Raid-0.

    Creating a new thread in the appropriate section will give you more information.
