    Hello
I have an external USB hard drive with windows XP (service pack2 inc) on and some music Progs.
Would i be able to plug this into my PC (Pentium 4 -win XP with service pack2 inc also) and run my music progs from the external drive on the PC? If not is there a way i could and if so what is the procedure. Thanks
    AudioGuy.

Unless a program is designed to run from a removable drive, it should be installed to a permanent drive. It will install files to the main system drive anyway and won't run properly if simply connected to another computer.

I disagree, you can normally run an application on a USB drive. But some applications install pieces of its self into some Windows folders and the Windows Register so if you move the USB to another PC you may have to reinstall the application.
