    Hi
    Reinstalled win XP

Fails to boot from CD drive, it then promts for system disk and has a black screen with a A drive prompt.
The recovery CD does nothing when I restart.
I thought that it would boot from the hard drive when the other two drives are empty?
The BIOS shows the boot order: CD then A then Hard drive.
How casn I get it to bypass A and boot from the hard drive?
    Help appreciated
    Thanks

during boot up, enter the setup and change the path to boot from C first. (hit page down, to change paths)

you can also download the boot disks and reload the o/s this way.
