Ive got a laptop and use the hibernation mode for speed, I have one problem though, when I come out of hibernation and try to log on it accepts my password and username and goes online, but will not retrieve any messages or find my homepage let alone any other page. What stumps me is if I then turn the computer off as normal and then turn it on it will go online no problem and get my messages/homepage etc. I have an Advent 5480 DVD Laptop with a P3-800 and 512 ram memory, I am running Zonealarm and Norton 2002 Systemworks.
Its not a serious problem but I use the hibernation for speed, yet by the time I have to turn it off again and on to log on, does it seem worth it.

    Thanks in advance

Ive managed to get some information to do with this problem. Its the screen that appears when I try to log on:-

The host 'pop.ntlworld.com' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D.

Dont know if this will help with the solution.
