What advantages are there in installing XP Pro on a system over the home version. The system will be used for the usual home activities as well as a farm PC with mapping programs, financial stuff etc. There will be no network in the foreseeable future.

Any known software incompatibilities using XP??

You'd probably do fine with XP Home, you most likely will not need Pro's features.

There are of course incompatible programs, you can find more info and a downloadable compatibility program from Microsoft's site. You might be able to pick up a compatibility CD from your local PC/Office supply store, too.

    Good luck!
