I have a friend that has a new HP computer with XP home and he wants upgrade to XP Pro. When he trys to load Pro he gets a message that he already has a newer version of XP than he is trying to load. Is there nay solution?

He probably has SP2 on the drive of his machine and an XP CD which does not have SP2 is all.

If it is an upgrade version of XP Pro, all you need to do is to slipstream SP2 together with the files on the XP Pro upgrade CD to make a new one.

Just use AutoStreamer 1·0 to make yourself an .ISO image from which to burn an XP Pro (Upgrade) SP2 CD choosing to burn a CD-ROM(ISO) from the .ISO image, in your burning program.

You need to download AutoStreamer (freeware) and the 266Mb SP2 file from the MS download site.

    Using AutoStreamer 1·0 is self-explanatory.
