    I tried installing Windows XP
I have tried upgrading from both Win98SE and WinME
as well as a clean install on my blank HD.

    number of different errors
    some bluescreens:

    but usually
says that my C: is corrupted
and something about a memory pool corruption

anyway to fix that? i've tried installing on different drives but it always has to check the C: for some reason and it will find some corruption and won't work.

Most likely, one or all of your RAM chips are bad. I had the same problem. Try switching your RAM chips around. If that doesn't work, try this RAM tester to determine if you have bad chips: http://www.bootdisk.com/dosfiles/docm145a.exe
