Do the new Windows XP OS disks have some form of counter on them that prevents you from loaing them on my than one HD?

I bought a new XP Home with SP2 included. It loaded normally on a 4 gig drive while I was waiting for my new 80 gig drive to arrive.

When the new 80 GIG arrived I went to load XP on that one and it wouldn't take the load. Kept saying it could not find the disk in the cd Drive.

I took an XP Pro OS and tried to load it and the load proceeded past the error message I got with the other OS so I am assuming that it would have finished loading OK.

Just a bad OS Disk or is there a counter on it?

Thanks.
