XP lsass.exe error, keeps restarting

I have no idea what is going on with my computer...didnt do anything out of the ordinary but now im getting a message saying WINDOWS/system32 and lsass.exe error and it then gives me 1 minute to close any programs and then it restarts and just keeps doing this...i played with it for a while today and it finally did let me connect to the internet but it did not remember my password and said RPC error i think...i clicked ok and logged on fine...looked around a bit and noticed i no longer had a printer in its folder nor could i add the printer...also tried to restore system but said i did not have admistrator rights...but i am...windows update not working either, cant scan my computer...i restarted the computer and again the same lsass.exe error and the never ending restart loop.
whats going on??Is this a virus??? XP problem?? Please HELP!

and i am giving u a 100% solution for this problem .
This is the new worm SASSER, attacke the windows XP it is like a Blaste worm.
u can note down the solution and please follow in the steps only:--

1. Deleted the following Keys from Registery
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx
2. Suggested to turn off the System Restore option
3. Suggest to downlod the Sasser removal tool from

4. Scan the C Drive and suggest VC to download the windows Updates.

5. You can turn ON System Restore option.
6. It is Recomended to Stay Offline for next 48 Hrs.
