Just upgraded my PC from Win98 to XP. I'm trying to rearrange my start menu without having to do it one item at a time.

I found two start menus "Administrator" and the one with my name, yet neither is exactly the one that is displayed on screen. I'm assuming these menus are merged somehow? Which one should I modify, or does it make no difference. Thanks.

XP builds your Start Menu with a combination of ALL Users and your Profile Name. In the Documents and Settings folder off the C Drive, there should be Start Menu folders in both profiles (All Users and 'Your Profile Name'). They each contain the links/items that show up in your Start Menu.

If you make another Profile on your machine, it uses the All Users profile as a base and then adds items from there.
