Hi folks
In the absence of TSG for a while and wanting to try to sort this issue out, here's one I posted elsewhere earlier today. Not had many responses from there though!.
I have a home network set up (Wireless) with two PC's both running XP Home Ed. I have set up a shared internet connection (Cable Modem - always on) and all works fine.
My PC is the Gateway, my son's PC in his room uses the shared connection.
I have just obtained two microphones and wish to set up the facility to hold a voice conversation with anyone on MSN. I have managed to converse (as opposed to chat!) with someone from my PC - both inviting and accepting, and also to converse with my son on his PC upstairs - again from sending an invitation or accepting an invitation.
However, I cannot establish a conversation outside my network from my son's PC.
Is there a restriction somewhere? Can this be achieved?
It could save me a lot of money using the cable internet connection instead of my telephone line!!!!
Ta in advance....
John
