xp /no ip address so cannot update

    i have a desk top comp set up with win xp with serv pk 2 and unable to connect to the internet after a virus infection and a reload of xp / comp info is as follows / amdsempron le-1250 cpu 2.2ghz {45w] 512kb cache socket am2/am2+/ 1gb pc 6400 [800mhz] ddr2 ram/ ecs ge-force 6100pm-m2 [ver2] micro atx motherboard am2+ matx nvidia / samsung spin point 160gb hd161hj sata11 3gb/s native comm queuing /hdd 7200rpm 8mb / sata samsung sh-s203b sata blackdouble internal 20x/ nero 7.3/ avermedia dvd ezmaker/ i have a laptop with win 7 with all info in my registration / the xp has no ip address and the only internet is with a wireless card / can anyone help me to connect my xp thanks

    Are any drivers missing or problematic in Device Manager?

    i have not found any drivers missing or with problems/ some status information is not avail in safe mode / when i open in normal mode it eventually goes to [register windows now] also it has service pk 3
