Have XP Pro with a PIII CPU and have never had a password. PC crashed so I put my CD in and done a repair so as not to lose pgms, etc. Booted up and the screen is asking for a password! Any help. Much thanks.

Leave it blank and submit, Go to Start/Control Panel or(Settings/Control Panel)/Administrative Tools/Local Security Settings/Minimum Password Length/Reduce it to 0 (No password required). Control Panel/User Account/Your Account/Remove Password

If you didn't enter a password you should not need one, leave it blank and hit sumbit or ok.
