I recently bought a new motherboard and processer for my compaq pc. (GeForce 6100-M9 and AMD Athlon 64 3200+ cpu). My os will not load to the new motherboard because it doesn't recognize it as a compaq. My question is, how do I make disks for xp so I can load it on my hard drive, I have 2, without the compaq association?

By changing the motherboard from the original configuration you now have what Microsoft describes as a "refurbished" PC. Since system builder or OEM discs are "married" to the machine with the motherboard on which they were originally installed you'll have to purchase a new operating system to go with your new motherboard.
