Xp refuses to remember control panel settings

ok this it trivial but it's annoying - xp keeps displaying control panel in list mode rather than icons no matter how many times i reset and save -
i know about deleting these keys but windows still "forgets" in a day or two.....

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU

I have the same problem in 2000 and had it in 98 too - got it fixed once but can't recall how. :D
I prefer the lists and keep getting the icons. :D
Wanna switch computers? :D

Have you tried -

Tools/Folder options/View/Half way down Remember each folders view options and made sure that checked?

Hi Stump,
Yes, that was checked - I did notice on that same page tools/folder options/View
at the top was a button to click to view all folders like this one. I had the control panel in list so I am hoping this is the trick. The others I have tried are opening in list now. Thanks!!!
