I just bought a new computer and wanted to use my old E-machines as a fallback in case of emergency.

I did a recovery from an Acronis Backup and while it boots, I have no Internet.
I looked in Device Mgr and have a number of yellow marks and clicked update drivers.
It said successful and to reboot, which I did.
The marks remain and I can't seem to get it to work.

I have the recovery discs (E-machines T6212) and could do a full restore, but would like to avoid that if possible.

The yellow marks are on "primary and Secondary IDE Channel.
The second message says "No Network card found."

I've already gone to the E-machines website, but the only download I see that might apply is for Lan Driver.
I downloaded it but it won't install.

    Thanks for any advice.
    Paul

Can you provide a screenshot or image of the Device Manager so we can see the device names that have a yellow ? or !?

I'm guessing you need the Realtek RTL8139/810x ethernet driver - second one down from the top of the list.
It's in .zip format, so you need to download and save it in an empty folder, then extract its contents into that folder, then run the "setup.exe" file.

As I said in my post, I already went to that site.
The driver I need is not mentioned, or I am missing what I need.
I already downloaded the Lan driver from that site and it didn't solve my problem.

Neither of your .JPG files shows an image of the Device Manager.

The first zip file does indeed show Device Mgr and the yellow marks.

Yes, but not the network adapter. Let us see the error in it's properties.

The second zip file says "no network adapter" installed.
When I opened Device Mgr, there is no listing for it.

I recommend that you backup your data and bring the system back to factory default. If you need a reliable backup system this would be the way to go.
