Try disabling everything from that TalkTalk Online Security (F-Secure) as a test.

Do not be offended, but this computer will never be FAST. You have 512Mb ram of which 64Mb is taken by your graphics. The actual physical memory available to run programs etc, after Windows has used say 256Mb or so, will be very small.
If you consider it worthwhile I would recommend an increase in ram.

That said you are running TalKTalk protection, but you are also runnning Windows Defender.
This will slow your system down tremendously, disable Windows Defender.
DO NOT attempt to uninstall it.

Then run this program StartUp lite it will disable the unnecessary start up entries of which amongst those you have only a couple are required.

I'm not offended don't worry ha, i know it will never be fast but just maybe a bit of speed increase as it is 5/6 years old. I will try what you suggested and let you know.

Try running StartUpLite and you'll find very few Startup items, other than F-Secure, if any, needing to autoload with Windows.

When running StartUpLite, select the Disable option for each of the Startup entries displayed.

The ASUS P5S800-VM Rev 1.xx motherboard in that computer supports a maximum of 2048 MB(2 GB) of RAM.

It uses 184-pin, Unbuffered, Non-ECC DDR PC2100 or DDR PC2700 or DDR PC3200 modules.

Considering it currently has only 512 MB and has 64 MB of it dedicated to the integrated graphics controller, Windows XP and the other programs are utilizing only 448 MB.

You seriously need to increase the amount to at least 1024 MB(1 GB), and preferably to 2048 MB(2 GB).

Phantom010 and Macboatmaster and myself can assist you with getting as much speed and performance out of it as we can, but it's still going to run slow until you add more RAM.

Since disabling Windows Defender and running StartUpLite i can definitely see an increase in performance.
