PC was working great last night. Shut it off, came back this afternoon to turn it on to do more PHP coding and now all I get is the bootup screen, then nothing. It does startup in safe mode, so I am running AVG, adaware etc etc.

I am thinking that this may be a problem with corrupted drivers somewhere, I will start removing them and see what I come up with (I am suspecting the new NVIDIA Nforce drivers that I recently installed ... yesterday ....)

Fricking P.O.S. only works when I don't need it to

Any other ideas floating around ?

Well this is what I did so far:

uninstalled / reinstalled original nvidia drivers - That didn't work
uninstalled / downloaded new catalyst drivers and installed them - That didn't work.

uninstalled xpsp2 - that didn't work.
NOW I can't do anything until I activate my copy of windows. In order to do that I need to be in Normal mode, but I can't get to normal mode because of this other problem GODDAMN IT!!!

So now it looks like I have to format and reinstall XP - And I was just bragging to everyone about how it's been exactly 1 year since I last formatted. :(

P.S. - YES my copy of XP is legit, YES it came with my PC, and YES I paid for it. Just thought I would mention that so that I am not falsley accused of being a pirate ;)
