My brother has two teenagers and he would like to configure Windows XP Home Edition with an administrator account and three limited account users.

His goal is to restrict the limited account users to one GB of space each within their eight GB hard drive. The result would be that when one of the teenagers uses up his alloted space of one GB, often because of a high storage of mp3 files, a window would appear and warn this limited account user to reduce their allotted amount of hard drive space on the single shared computer.

Can this type of configuration be performed with Windows XP home edition, professional edition or another xp edition?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Cliff.

    1)log on as administrator...

2)Click Start, and then click My Computer.

3)Right-click on the system drive (usually drive C), and then click Properties.

    4)Click the Quota tab.

    set options here....

    Must be using NTFS

Here is a link explaining it pretty well for windows 2k.

The procedure in XP is pretty similar.
