When I subscribed to K-Mart's Blue Light Free Internet Service, they placed this Yahoo Companion in the upper left corner of my Internet Explorer browser. I CANNOT get rid of it. I tried going into my Program Files, deleting all Yahoo folders, etc. It will NOT go away. I contacted Yahoo.........they never answered me. Now, I'm getting a pop-up window every time I open my browser to get an update. I don't want it, I don't want this Yahoo thing in my browser! What a pain! Anyone know how I can get rid of this little parasite? Thanks!

Is there a Customize button on it? If so, click on it and select 'Remove Yahoo companion' from the drop down menu.

If not then try going to View>Toolbars>Customize and taking it off the toolbar that way.

How do I uninstall Yahoo! Companion?

Click the button on the toolbar. Choose the "Uninstall" option. When asked if you really want to uninstall Yahoo! Companion, click "Yes."

Here it says you need to click the 'edit' button:

To uninstall the Yahoo Companion from Internet Explorer, click on the "Edit" button on the Yahoo Companion bar (second button from the left), and select the Uninstall option

Nice things, these search engines... :D

    Good luck,
