    I can't check my e-mail at Yahoo
    for some reason,though I could
three days ago. I can get to my
    Yahoo homepage, but whenever
I try to go to e-mail, the site can't
be found. I've tried this twenty times,
in the last few days, using the shortcut
to Yahoo e-mail on my desktop, the
log-in from my homepage, and clicking on
Yahoo in my favorites folder. I've hit the
refresh button more than a few times,
but it goes nowhere. My daughter can't
go to her Yahoo e-mail either.I've
    clicked on Tools,Internet connections
and can't find anything obviously wrong.
    I'm expecting an important e-mail,of
course.Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Hi annieskid...

This is odd. I've checked my Yahoo sight mail and it is working well for me. Are you logged into your Yahoo?

In the mean time as an emergency measure you might want to enter your Yahoo accounts into your e-mail browser. EX: Outlook Express.
Start a new e-mail account in your Outlook and follow the directions.
    POP3 is: pop.mail.yahoo.com
    SMTP is: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
Make sure your "My server requires authentication" is checked.

Not knowing your e-mail browser I can't give you full directions. But you can find this info at http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-02.html

I'm sorry I can't help you with your problem better. I have heard that some ISP's have been having trouble getting to the Yahoo e-mail sight. Mine did and they sent out e-mails saying so. Is yours?
But in the mean time you can at least get your e-mail.

    Good luck :)

Annieskid, just a long shot but try flushing your cache:
In Internet Explorer choose Tools - Internet Options, In the middle under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete Files... & Click OK.

    Foamer,
The Yahoo POP-mail option has always tempted me, but how much junk do they send you for the privilege? 1 a day, 1 a week? More or less?

The long shot actually worked! I don't have a clue why but I
can check my e-mail at Yahoo after deleting the other stuff.
I had to delete offline files and online to make it work, but
it worked. Thanks a million. Next problem(Full Moon tomorrow)
I can't click on highlighted URLs without a line coming on the
screen with the title I have to restore to get to a web site.
It comes on in the strangest places. This started yesterday
when I tried to click back here in an e-mail, and hopefully
wll resolve itself when the full moon is over.
The Pop addresses might have worked if I wasn't being
difficult, refusing to click on new mail only because I want
all my mail, not just the new. I never said I was an easy
woman! I love this website, especially since my phone
won't let me dial out to call Tech this weekend. I have no
idea how I can even connect to the net, when I can't dial a
local number without it telling me to dial a one, and not
letting me dial more than three digits of an 800 number
without telling me the number doesn't exist, on the other
line. It'll all be better after the full moon.

About once a week I get adverts dbcoooper. More or less.
At the very least I find it more conveniant than going the the Yahoo sight. Far less garbage mail than you would think.

Thanks a bunch Foamy, (your avatar is perfect for a name like that) :D
That's well within my current signal/noise ratio, you know how the word "send you information" makes one quickly do a "180" when offered such things.

    Annieskid,
Another notch to carve in my mouse, hopefully it will fall apart soon so i can get one of those nifty new optical ones, and why not tail-less while I'm at it?
As far as your new prob, wait till that full moon wanes and get back here with as detailed a description as you can.
