I've been trying to install the latest version on YIM for the past month or so, and it hasnt been working. at first, the instalelr would begin and get to about 95% and jsut pause and never complete. I did several clean ups and virus scans and things and now i have it where the installation will complete, but the desktop icon wont appear. and the folder for the messenger wont even appear in the program files folder. I completely uninstalled and deleted my oold version also. does anyone know the problem or what i can do? this is really frustrating me.

I've found that version 7 is a bit buggy. It crashed a lot for me, it also sucked up a lot of resources. I reverted back to version 6 - haven't had a problem since.

I've had no problemos with 7. Actually, if I click About from the Yahoo window it tells me that I'm running:

Yahoo! Messenger with Voice (7,0,0,437)
MyYahoo Module 6,0,0,600)

Note the version 6 in MyYahoo Module. I'm not sure if everyone using version 7 sees the same version numbers but I've had no problems. No slower than 6 :)

Is your font big enough? ;)

I'm sure it's different for everyone. I am using an older OS, so I don't think it and Yahoo got along very well.
