I have a thinkpad 560x it currently has no operating system. My problem is that I only have an external floppy drive which swaps with a cd rom drive. I used a boot disk and got as far as getting laptop to boot without floppy from hard disk to the bit where you start computer with or without cd support.Whichever option you take brings up error Bad command or file name , Path not found - :\COMMAND .COM , File not found - extract.exe ,File not found - readme.txt , Please insert Windows 98 Startup Disk 2 , press any key to continue......If I put cd rom drive in , it spins but nothing else happens.I've had this laptop for a few weeks now and I seem to be getting nowhere with it. Any help is welcome
