I seem to remember hearing that YAST was going GPL (Or atleast OSS). Anyone know anything about that, and or where i would be able to get it?

YAST was one of the big pulls towards SUSE (Even though i ended up going with Debian)

I saw that, too. It was announced a couple weeks ago but it's not at www.gnu.org or anywhere else. I'd like to try it out on a different distribution. Just for fun. :)

I imagine it will take some time for anything to show. All the code would have to be changed to work with a different distro. For example each distro puts it networks scripts in slightly different places.

For some reason I wanted to say that the release of YAST was coming with their next product release as well so it might be until around May that it happens.

Than again, I could just be remembering wrong.
