I recently bought a Kodak EasyShare CX6200. It came with Kodak EasyShare software - version 3.1.

When I tried to install in software, the setup wizard did it's thing...I 'read' the policy, checked yes, etc...I selected what launguage I wanted to work in... but when it came time to install...the progress bar got to be five little green rectangles long, and then quit. It remained at this progress level indefinately - never fully installing. I would like to be able to 'empty out' my camera. Can someone help?

You can get the latest EasyShare software here:

    http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn.jhtml?ekn=EKN026079

    Perhaps it will help.

Also try turning off AV protection during the install (after you are sure you have no virus! :) ), and close any other running apps.
    Choose 'Typical' installation, not 'Custom'.
Make sure your computer meets the minimum specs for the software.
If running XP or 2000 log in as Administrator to install and use.

If you're still unable to install the Kodak software, look to see (via Windows Explorer - while the camera is connected and turned on in playback mode) if there is an extra drive in your system...listed perhaps as a 'Removable Drive' or storage device, or drive E,F,or G - whatever would be next up in your drive letter specifications.

You may have tried most or all of the above already, just giving a few reminders.
