I have had my laptop about almost a year now, I been getting blue screens at random and now I'm sick and tired of having my laptop crash when I try to play a video game. I'm seeking help because I have no other place to turn too. I tried fixing the problem myself, and tried searching if someone has had the same problem as me.

    So here goes:
    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.2
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 101
    BCP1: 00000061
    BCP2: 00000000
    BCP3: 803D1120
    BCP4: 00000001
    OS Version: 6_0_6001
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini051008-01.dmp
    C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-71323-0.sysdata.xml
    C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\WER9156.tmp.version.txt

This is what came up as what was the cause of the BSOD. I had copied it down from the BSOD itself and the numbers had matched up. If anyone can help me I would be so thankful. If you need anymore information feel free to ask.

What I do get is I just updated me video card, and I'm still blue screening.

Also the solution that is provided is for XP, I don't think the patch will work with vista.

"The Q317277 c:\cbce6b3628620\update\update.inf file is not correct"

I click open, it loads, then a instillation window pops up a half a second, then errors out.

    You open what?
Did you try to download this:
If so, it's not for Vista. Forget about it.
    But...once again:

It could be a third party firewall or even Vista firewall causing this.
The other possibility is heat as you do realize laptops are really poor with gaming for that reason.
I would vacuum out the grates on bottom as best you can and then see if you can rest it on something that puts the back up in the air and see if this resolves it.
