    How to stop videos playing automatically when opened in YouTube before clicking on the video on YouTube android app which consumes lot of mobile data..

    I have not clicked on the link but every video starts playing when I open any page. Previously it was playing when I click on the centre of the video..now even when I press pause when it starts playing the video will be loading in background. Is there any solution for this...

    Sorry, is this while using a Browser with embed YouTube videos or right in the YouTube app?

    It is while using the YouTube app on android 4.4. Please provide me with a solution lot of mobile data is being lost while using the app.

    I don't think you can, playing videos is the purpose of the app. You can set the YouTube app to not stream HD on mobile data by going to settings in the app.

    You might be able to use a browser instead, not sure it it auto plays videos although I think it does too. Or try another YouTube app instead of the official one, maybe there's a third party app that doesn't autoplay.
