Zone Alarm and compuserve don't seem to be getting along too well. I can log on 2-3 times no problem the next time I get a " can't resolve host " message from compuserve and I can't log on. If I go over to Firefox browser it'll let me on one extra time. the next time I try, Firefox can't log on either. I've been told to add compuserve to my allow list in ZA which I've tried and apparently failed at. Can somebody offer any additional sugggestions or very specific walk me through steps.

Thanks, john

You need to add your ISP to the trust zone. Go to the "Firewall Section - Zones Tab".
http://www.dslwebserver.com/main/fr_index.html?/main/sbs-zonealarm-configure.html

If your network of computer is behind a router, you can change the adapter subnet entry from "Internet" to "Trusted". If you don't have a router and are directly connected to the Internet, then you should keep this zone as "Internet".

You can also designated specific IP address, sites, subnets, or networks as "Trusted" or "Internet sites".

Whenever you make changes, make sure to click on "Apply" for the changes to take effect.
Now after any changes like this do not reboot but shut down your PC so changes will stay because when you reboot zone alarm will use a backup of your setting and that will be your older setting without the changes you made.
